Joe Filer

Joe Filer (May 15, 1971 – October 21, 2021) was an author, speaker, and church planter. Born in New Jersey, he planted churches from 2008 on, including years as a missionary in Utah planting churches that met in homes and some pretty unusual places. He founded the Freedom Church Movement to coach and encourage church planters across the country and around the world. He wrote Freedom: Your Best Year Yet. Living the Abundant Christian Life, with his son Drew, and Reproducing Grace: Starting a Free Grace Movement in Your Region. Joe died in Sierra Vista, Arizona, at the age of 50. His wife of 27 years, Jennifer, and their two sons survive him.
