A special note on this job posting from FGA executive director, Jeremy Mikkelsen: Greetings fellow grace pastors, Jeremy here form FGA. I had the chance to visit with the folks from The Pathways Church. Their church has a connection with the Southern Baptist Convention, however have been led by a non-Calvinist pastor since its founding. Their doctrinal statement doesn’t quite match the reality on the ground. The search team has some solid grace people on it and they are looking for someone who understands and preaches grace. Near the time the founding pastor was getting ready to retire (mid-60s) their building burnt down. Hurrah for insurance. The pastor had a background in engineering, so he is helping with the reconstruction effort. They purchased an existing commercial property that has great visibility along a major artery in town. The are now remodeling it into an updated church facility. They still have a good-sized nest egg left over. They also have a parsonage. The hard part – they are down to about 20 faithful adults, plus about 5 teenagers and several younger kids. They are looking for a pastor/church planter that is grace orientated and willing to come kick off the next season of their church’s ministry. The church is located in Princeton, in Southwestern Indiana. Their immediate county is home to 33,000 people, and is 25 minutes away from Evansville, which has roughly 120,000 people. Indianapolis is 2.5 hours away. Nashville is about 3 hours. The area has a pretty low cost of living (25% less than the national average). The salary that they are proposing starting with is $50,000 a year, plus the parsonage. They understand that will need to grow quickly as the church grows. They are also willing to rent the parsonage and add that into the salary. Mention FGA in your cover letter. - Jeremy
